Elegance Meets Vineyard Vintage in Milano: A Toast to Oenological Mastery

MILANO – Dive deep into the world of wine with the upcoming Milano Wine Week 2023. At a recent press conference held at La Scala hall of the Excelsior Hotel Gallia, the 6th edition of this grand wine event was unveiled. From 7th to 15th October, Milan will be enlivened by the colors and flavors of this immersive experience.

The historic Palazzo Bovara on Corso Venezia will be the epicenter of the event, featuring walk-around tastings, national and international masterclasses, and interactive sessions with top global wine professionals. Milano Wine Week 2023 collaborates with consortia, hundreds of companies from all over Italy, and several institutions and associations, ensuring an expansive representation from the wine sector.

Novelties of this year’s edition include the “Wine Boat,” a unique tasting experience navigating through the Naviglio (Milan’s famous canals), and the “Wine Bus,” which will take enthusiasts on a wine-filled journey around the city. There will also be exclusive tastings at the Enoteca di MWW, located at Phyd on Via Tortona.

Federico Gordini, President of Milano Wine Week, emphasized the event’s adaptability to the evolving wine world, stating, “Our focus is on the professionals and offering opportunities to engage consumers in innovative ways. From star-studded restaurants to supermarkets, from wine boats to open tasting stations – wine is for everyone. We aim to promote, educate, and establish strong connections in this industry.”

High-end kitchen appliance company, Signature Kitchen Suite, has also joined this year’s edition, hosting several masterclasses at their showroom in Via Manzoni. Furthermore, the MWW Awards, set to be held on 9th October at Palazzo Castiglioni, will celebrate the best in wine selections, judged by a panel led by renowned wine journalist, Andrea Grignaffini.

Special events are also scheduled at popular venues like Eataly Milano Smeraldo, offering courses on natural and biodynamic wines, Sicilian wines, and a special session on Pizza and Champagne.

A poignant moment of this year’s Milano Wine Week will be the tribute to Marisa Leo, a dedicated marketer and communicator in the wine industry, who was tragically killed recently. The event will not only celebrate the splendor of wine but also shed light on crucial societal issues.

Milano Wine Week 2023 promises to be a journey of discovery, education, and entertainment, reiterating the beauty and depth of the wine world. Join the celebration and be part of this extraordinary experience!
