The leading showcase of Alto Piemonte wines returns to Stresa, November 9–10, 2025.
STRESA – From November 9th to 10th, 2025, the elegant Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in Stresa, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, will host the new edition of Taste Alto Piemonte, the most important event dedicated to the wines of this extraordinary northern Piedmont region.
Organized by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte, with the support of the Regione Piemonte, Comune di Stresa, Camera di Commercio Monte Rosa Laghi Alto Piemonte, and the Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, the event will welcome more than 50 wineries presenting their latest vintages from ten DOC and DOCG appellations of Alto Piemonte.
A Celebration of Nebbiolo and Its Terroirs
The spotlight will be on the native grape Nebbiolo, locally known as Spanna, together with Vespolina, Croatina and Uva Rara — varietals that express the diversity and elegance of this volcanic and Alpine land. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste wines from the region’s main denominations:
Boca DOC, Bramaterra DOC, Colline Novaresi DOC, Coste della Sesia DOC, Fara DOC, Gattinara DOCG, Ghemme DOCG, Lessona DOC, Sizzano DOC, and Valli Ossolane DOC.
What to Expect
- Two days of tastings: Sunday, November 9th (11:00–20:00) and Monday, November 10th (10:00–19:00).
- Open tasting areas where professionals, journalists and wine lovers can meet producers and explore their wines.
- Masterclasses led by AIS Piemonte, focusing on Nebbiolo and the unique terroirs of Alto Piemonte.
- A temporary wine shop offering visitors the chance to purchase their favorite bottles directly at the event.
A Unique Setting
The Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées, a jewel of Italian hospitality overlooking Lake Maggiore, provides a luxurious and evocative backdrop for this exclusive wine experience. Its Belle Époque charm perfectly matches the refined character of Alto Piemonte wines.
