MONTEPULCIIANO – Over 1500 entries were registered during the three afternoons of wine tasting at Fortezza for the preview of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. An edition that can already be defined as a record, especially after the past years were contingent on restrictive Covid measures. In short, we return to Montepulciano, among industry operators and winelovers, to discover the new vintages on the market, the 2020 and the 2019 Reserve. An event that confirms its position as one of the most important for Italy’s first DOCG in its territory, waiting for new promotional challenges, starting already in March with the ProWein in Düsseldorf. “It’s great to see that, in addition to the interest in our denomination, we are able to bring people from many different regions in Tuscany to our territory,” says the President of the Consortium of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Andrea Rossi, commenting on the numbers. “This year, we are particularly proud of the massive and consolidated participation of our companies, which has been one of our challenges from the beginning: to bring the social base together and go in the same direction.”
