Two French friends Anthony Aubert & Jean-Charles Mathieu, who are committed to creating a range of wines that reflect their personalities, aim to shake up the vineyards.
CARCASSONNE – They were known from their school days and decided to launch their wine business in 2018 with a focus on eco-conscious, transparent, and sustainable winemaking practices. Hailing from Languedoc-Roussillon, they want to bring a touch of originality and modernity to their blends and revolutionize the vineyards of their native region.
Languedoc merchants Aubert & Mathieu have created the first wine blend with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) ChatGPT. The two entrepreneurs requested ChatGPT, a popular conversational AI robot, to guide them in the creation of an exceptional organic wine from Languedoc, using the Grenache and Syrah grape varieties available.
ChatGPT provided advice on the best fruit-based vinification methods and assembly proportions for the wine, which the merchants followed. The robot even suggested using a Burgundian bottle to showcase the wine.
The result of their collaboration is the cuvée “The End,” which Aubert & Mathieu plan to sell exclusively through their website. The cuvée is produced with 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, resulting in a fruity and balanced wine that can be enjoyed by connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
While the wine industry is still out of reach of AI in terms of tasting capabilities, ChatGPT’s impressive performance in providing advice on the vinification process and assembly proportions is a testament to the technology’s potential in the wine industry.
The online sale of “The End” cuvée will serve as a test for the continuation of the production and the future involvement of AI in the wine industry.
