Returning to Castagnole Monferrato, the festival offers a unique experience of tastings, local delicacies, and music amidst the world-renowned UNESCO heritage site.
CASTAGNOLE MONFERRATO – Complementing the array of grand events and tastings of renowned Piedmont wines this weekend in Italy, spanning Monferrato and Langhe, are not just Nizza Monferrato and Neive, but also Castagnole Monferrato.
The Ruchè Festival returns on May 13th and 14th to Castagnole Monferrato (AT). There will be tastings in the presence of the producers, a bottle sales point, food stalls, and music.
On May 13th and 14th, 2023, the Ruchè Producers Association of Castagnole Monferrato is reviving the established event that brings Ruchè and its producers together with professionals and enthusiasts at the La Mercantile Estate, a complex dating back to the late 17th century, surrounded by a beautiful Italian garden. The event, which includes tastings of Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, meetings with the producers, a bottle sales point, food stalls, and music, is organized in collaboration with Go Wine and the Barbera d’Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium.
These essential elements make the Ruchè Festival the best opportunity to discover – or rediscover – the symbolic wine of this area of Monferrato, the territory, and the people. The Ruchè Festival indeed celebrates an appellation that is gaining increasing international success for its unique characteristics and its territory, declared a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO. The participating wineries will be directly present at the tastings taking place inside La Mercantile, surrounded by the wonderful frescoes that enrich each room.
Entrance to the Estate will be free, with tastings at a fee, on Saturday and Sunday, and Ruchè will not be the only star of the festival. Accompanying it in an open space for everyone will be food stalls with local specialties to enjoy alongside the tasting. Also, as per tradition, there will be music and animations in a truly suggestive place. To complete the offer, all companies will be open for visitation upon reservation. A unique opportunity to discover the heart of the appellation.
